H.E Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi is the Governor of the Communications, Space, & Technology Commission (CST). The CST was created earlier this year by the merger of the Saudi Space Commission (SSC) and the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).

H.E. Dr. Mohammed Al-Tamimi had been serving as the Governor of CITC since October 2019 and as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Space Commission (SSC) since May 2021. He had also beam a member of SSC’s Board of Directors since its inception. In this capacity, he has been the driving force in the development of the National Space Strategy, to position the Kingdom as a leading space faring power.

H.E. Dr. Al-Tamimi has also been instrumental in the creation of an enabling environment for the saudi space sector that enable innovation attract investments and accelerates R&D. He has also led the restructuring of
the newly announced Saudi Space ecosystem, comprising of a Supreme Space Council, Communications, Space, & Technology Commission, and Saudi Space Agency.

H.E Al-Tamimi holds a Doctorate in Telecommunications & Networking from the University of Pittsburg, a Master’s degree in Science in Communications Technology and Policy from the University of Strathclyde and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.”
